• As the tight ends coach and the special teams coordinator, he coaches the only player (TE, Harold Fannin Jr.) that is a semifinalist for the John Mackey Award and the Biletnikoff Award, and has a Ray Guy Award Semifinalst (P, John Henderson). • Overseeing Fannin's record-breaking year. Fannin leads the nation's tight ends in 20+ offensive categories and has the top PFF grade in run-blocking among pass-catching tight ends. Fannin is also College Football's Overall No. 1 graded player by PFF. • Fannin has broken 20+ BGSU records (Game, Season, Career), including many of Bayer's from his BGSU playing days. • Fannin's 1,170 receiving yards ranks No. 5 all-time in FBS History for receiving yards by a tight end. He needs 183 receiving yards to break Jace Amaro’s (Texas Tech, 2013) FBS tight end record of 1,352 receiving yards. • BGSU's special teams has spent most of the year No. 3 in the nation per PFF's overall grade. Currently No. 11 in the nation. • BGSU is No. 6 in punt return yards allowed with 28. • John Henderson is No. 33 in the nation and No. 1 in the MAC in net punting at 40.6 yards per punt.
