After losing three of his top five starting pass receivers to the NFL, Fesi has helped a relatively inexperienced group of returning players and newcomers become one of the strengths of the BYU offense, producing three receivers that are each closing in on more than 600 yards receiving on the season. Quarterback Jaren Hall Hall is ninth national in touchdowns (24), 10th in passes completed (218) and 13th in passing yards (2,622).
Helped BYU to an 10-3 record in 2021 and a No. 19 ranking. Helped BYU go 11-1 in 2020 and earn a No. 11 final ranking while boasting a top-10 offense. Mentored former walk-on receiver Dax Milne (now with the Washington Commanders), who finished No. 4 in the nation with 1,188 receiving yards on 70 catches with 8 receiving TDs in 2020. Helped lead the Cougars to back-to-back Top 20 national finishes.
BYU is 5-5 on the season. Was 4-1 on the year and ranked as high as No. 16 nationally with a win over No. 9 Baylor before a rash of injuries contributed to a mid-season four-game losing streak.
