Allen is in his first season as the outside receivers coach at Louisiana Tech. Allen has helped develop a strong, well-balanced position group that has had five different receivers record multiple touchdown games. This marks the first time in at least 20 years that five Bulldogs have had a two-TD reception game in one season. There were only four two-TD receptions games in the last three years combined. Seven different Bulldog receivers have recorded at least 11 receptions and 150 reception yards this season, while eight receivers have recorded at least one touchdown. Allen’s receivers have helped LA Tech rank third in C-USA in pass offense with 182 completions for 1,855 yards and 20 touchdowns, averaging 231.9 yards per game. The Bulldogs rank fourth in the conference in passing efficiency at 136.6. He helped Adrian Hardy rank ninth in C-USA and 96th in the FBS in receiving yards per game at 62.9, while helping Smoke Harris tie for seventh in C-USA and 67th in the nation in receptions per game at 5.0. Hardy and Harris tie for fourth in C-USA and 85th in the nation in receiving touchdowns with four each. He helped lead Adrian Hardy and Griffin Hebert to 62.9 and 30.9 receiving yards per game, respectively.
