The eight-quarter stretch is the longest by an Army defense since not allowing a touchdown in two consecutive games in 1984 vs. Duke and Harvard. Army’s defense had has held opponents to under 14 in eight of nine games this season. Army’s defense ranks first in the AAC, only allowing an average of 273.9 yards per game, the only team allowing fewer than 300 yards per game. Army’s mark also ranks 5th best nationally. This season, Army has held its opponents to seven points or less in four games in 2024. The Army defense has picked off 14 passes this season, T-9th most nationally. Army held Temple to minus-5 rushing yards (9/26), good for the third best mark in AAC single-game history.
