Has developed Georgia Tech’s running backs into one of the best RB groups in the nation … GT’s top three running backs – Jahmyr Gibbs, Jordan Mason and Dontae Smith – have accounted for a whopping 2,424 all-purpose yards in 10 games this season (led by Gibbs, who ranks No. 2 nationally with 1,680 all-purpose yards (168.0 per game).
Coach's Past Performance
In his first two seasons as running backs coach Georgia Tech (2019-20), Choice has coached a freshman all-American (Jahmyr Gibbs – 2020) and two all-Atlantic Coast Conference honorees (Gibbs – 2020; Jordan Mason – 2019) and, in his role as offensive recruiting coordinator, he has been instrumental in putting together consecutive highly ranked recruiting classes, including only the second top-25 class in Tech history in 2020.Choice came back to Georgia Tech after serving as the running backs coach at the University of North Texas in 2018. He was one of six finalists for FootballScoop’s 2018 Running Backs Coach of the Year award, joining a group that also includes Oklahoma’s Jay Boulware and Clemson’s Tony Elliott.
