Boston College's 38-year old offensive coordinator Will Lawing ascended to play-calling duties for the first time in 12 years, having last done so at Division III Juniata in 2012. A veteran of Bill O'Brien staffs, he was entrusted with overseeing an offense that meshed together the unique abilities of its players and scheme of the head coach. In his first season, the Eagles have proven a potent offense; averaging over 360 yards of offense, 175 rushing yards and 27 points per game. Lawing also coaches the BC tight ends, which have accounted for 27% of the team's receptions. BC's starting duo of Morales and Franklin have combined for eight touchdowns; the most by any duo in the ACC. Lawing has also helped guide BC through a late-season quarterback change with the offense outperforming its rushing and passing averages.
