Bryan Brown has done a standout job as the defensive coordinator for the Cincinnati football team. As the Bearcats moved up to the Power 5, UC has still managed to rank fourth in the Big 12 in total defense (363.7), fourth in the Big 12 in first downs defense (184) and fifth in the Big 12 in rushing defense (138.7). UC started four different freshman defensive backs during the season. DT Dontay Corleone collected a career-best three sacks, living up to his preseason All-America billing. It’s Brown’s first season with the Bearcats.
