In his first year as Georgia Tech’s offensive coordinator, Faulkner has overseen the turnaround of an offense that ranked 114th nationally in total offense in 2022 to a unit that currently ranks 14th nationally in total offense … Averaging 140.1 yards per game more than it did a season ago, Georgia Tech’s offense is the third-most improved in NCAA Division I FBS this season … In addition to ranking 14th nationally in total offense, Georgia Tech’s offense ranks among the top 20 nationally in fewest sacks allowed (6th), rushing (13th), 3rd-down conversions (19th) and first downs (20th) … The Yellow Jackets have had at least 470 yards of total offense in a game five times this season, a feat they accomplished only twice in the previous four seasons combined … Tech has scored 45 or more points in consecutive ACC games for the first time since 2000 … The Jackets’ 635 yards of total offense against No. 17 North Carolina were its most ever in an ACC game and fourth-most ever overall … Under Faulkner’s guidance as OC, GT QB Haynes King is one of only two FBS players with 2,300 passing yards, 500 rushing yards, 20 touchdown passes and five rushing touchdowns and one of only three ACC players since 2000 to accomplish the feat, joining current NFL starters Lamar Jackson (when he won the Heisman Trophy at Louisville in 2016) and Sam Howell (North Carolina – 2021) … King currently ranks among the top 10 nationally in total offense (7th), points responsible for (7th) and touchdown passes (8th).
